$5 at the hardware store.

Also available in black or almond. Not many cars sporting almond wheels. That would be a joy.

Supposedly needs a day to really set in before adding anything else. Some on the internets say you need a clearcoat, others do not.

Opinionate!

I'm going to heap mounds of scorn on you for that.

I ahve used that EXACT appliance epoxy with great success on wheels. clear coat not required, primer was. Its a nice thick paint and held up to chips really well.

What is this fancy piano gloos paint? I feel like to do this oppionate properly we need some kind of final four table of elimination.

I've even considered touching up the paint on the fridge if there's anything left. priorities.

Many kinds of fancy. One where 'look it's your exact color in the spectrum!' versus 'we charge because the paint formula is optimized for this exact use, i.e. brake fluid, grease, etc.'

versus 'The fridge gets used a lot.'

That works fine for the basic colors..

But then there's..

The only complaint. I'll admit it takes alchemy to get something silver not looking like you got a rattle can of model paint.

i wonder myself how different the paint really are. for $30 you are better off getting automotive paint custom mixed in a spray paint can. I guess most auto paint shops can do this.

Yes, this is for basic wheel-refurb. I've gotten a mix can of spray for my 1974 Desert Beige. It's surreal. Car in a can! *they use some strong solvents, yes.

Never used it. Was looking it last time I was at home depot. Says its for indoor use so not sure how it will hold up to UV exposure over time.

So far the anecdotes indicate a definite value at $1/wheel extrapolated over 5 years.

Clean, sand, primer, primer, paint, paint, dry. I have one wheel I went for straight paint just to see how it does. I've ended up with a few 13" wheels over time.*

*Yes, and I have to special order 185-70-r13 because anything skinnier it's like rollerskates.
